Dr Khemlani is an excellent pain doctor. I had seen him for my back I the past. Now had problems with my arm. Went to ER then to a couple different doctors and they weren’t of much help. I decided to see Dr Khemlani and he was able to figure things out. I feel like he really does care a lot and will follow through till resolved.

I was referred to Dr. Khemlani by my surgeon a few weeks ago. To be blunt, I was very nervous about the appointment and procedure. Dr. Khemlani met me for my first appointment, accommodating a scheduling conflict to make sure I was seen in a timely fashion. Dr. Kehmlani went to bat for me with my insurance to ensure I got an approved prior authorization. He truly had to go the extra mile. Further, the next day I was seen for the actual procedure. I was honestly terrified. He took the time to stop and speak calmly with me, reassuring me all would be fine. He took time. He showed compassion. He was above-and-beyond professional... but more importantly, he was kind. Providers like Dr. Khemlani are FEW are FAR BETWEEN. Providers that truly express empathy and grace are a rare find any more and I'm quite lucky to have been referred to him. Even better, he has a ridiculously good sense of humor and made the rather unpleasant procedure 100% tolerable... painless one would say. I can't speak highly enough of Columbia Pain Management and Dr. Khemlani. He and his staff were all spectacular and I appreciate everyone for their great care. I can honestly say, I am looking forward to returning for my follow-up appointments. Thanks, Dr. Khemlani. You're the best!

Dr. K is not just far above and beyond the average Dr., he is far and above the average pain management Dr! In my experience (83 year old here) his expertise and compassion are second to none. I've suffered with fibromyalgia and chronic pain for 40 of my 83 years. Dr. K is the first of all my doctors to consider my whole being as his patient i.e. emotionally and physically!

I have searched relentlessly for a back surgeon, and finally have found the best of the best in the Portland area. Dr. Khemlani is a genius in his field. He will spend all the time with you that you need and answer each and every question. His staff is compassionate and get right back to you with your concerns. If you’re looking for a surgeon to end chronic back pain, Dr. Khemlani is the absolute best!

Dr. Khemlani and Dr. Yoon are rock star physicians! They are both very kind and attentive. And they are so good at giving lumbar injections. And the staff members are warm and welcoming.

Being well into my retirement years I have seen a lot of health care professionals over the years - I would rank Dr Khemlani in the top three. He is very knowledgeable and very caring as well as very skilled. And has a great team around him. I've already recommended him to several people I know.

Seems like he genuinely cares. He explains things well and makes sure you understand. Great approach to treatment options, start with the most minimal treatment options and then escalate as needed. Dr. Khemlani is a compassionate and understanding physician on the topic of interventional treatment of pain. He takes the time to listen to the patient, and then in easy-to-understand language he explains his thoughts and opinions. One of the best in my team of doctors.

Dr. Khemlani was wonderful with my 95 year old Mother! She said he didn't once make her feel she was "just old", and couldn't be helped "at her age". He gave her hope and encouragement that she could get some relief from her pain. He is Wonderful and Extremely knowledgable and professional.
